SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed about the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services level made for intervention encounters here a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
